Heartache

Burning Man

So, Burning Man is coming up soon and it kind of aches my heart that we can’t make it this year. We thought about going spontaneously the other day, but it’s just such an incredible overhead and cost travelling to Burning Man from Germany. Can’t really afford doing this every year. I’m looking forward to all the photos from this year’s Burning Man, all the cool art and people. I will be posting photos from last year in the meantime, looking forward to next year’s adventure. :)

there’s no day like someday

Burning Man

Saw this line of balloons one morning on the playa. Actually there were two, I think. A couple of times we got up at 5 a.m. or so to be out on the playa for the sunrise, which is – as you might guess – a wonderful time to take pictures. It’s kind of magical. At some point we would return to our little camp and make ourselves breakfast. Then as the heat became unbearable with the rising sun, we’d get ourselves a nice seat in the center camp in front of the stage and chill the morning away while listening to some awesome live music. The title is actually a line of one of the songs I heard there by a band called Good Evening. Go check them out. They are very unique and really good. Like every other act we saw up there. Unfortunately, I can’t remember all of their names though.
